Driving Africa’s Agri-Food Future Through Compliance and Diversification
At the GLOBALG.A.P. Tour Stop 2025 – Kenya, held from 23rd–25th September at Emara Ole Sereni, agricultural and food industry stakeholders from across Africa gathered under the theme: “Driving the Region’s Agri-Food Trade through Compliance and Product Diversification.”
The discussions reinforced a powerful truth — compliance with international standards is no longer optional. It is the gateway to trusted, safe, and globally accepted food products, enabling Africa’s producers to access new and competitive markets.
Speakers also emphasized product diversification as a key lever for transforming the region’s agriculture — unlocking new value chains, increasing farmer incomes, and building resilience against market volatility and climate shocks.
At the Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS), we are proud to play a central role in this transformation by accrediting laboratories and certification bodies that serve Kenya’s horticultural and agri-food sectors.
Through accreditation, KENAS ensures that every test result and certification issued within the value chain meets international benchmarks of quality and integrity — empowering farmers, SMEs, and exporters to compete confidently in global markets.
