KENAS Aligns Strategic Goals with National Priorities through FY 2025/26 Performance Contract
Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS) has successfully concluded its Performance Contract (PC) negotiations for the Financial Year 2025/26, marking a key milestone in strengthening accountability, efficiency, and impact across its operations.
The session was led by Board Chair Mr. Ngeny Biwott, Director Ms. Lydia Munialo, CEO Dr. Walter Ongeti, and the KENAS Management Team, in the presence of the State Department for Industry (SDI) team led by Industrialization Secretary Prof. Erastus Gatebe and Ministerial PC Coordinator Ms. Everlyn Anupi.
The Performance Contract serves as a vital results-based management tool, aligning institutional performance with Kenya’s broader national development goals. It promotes accountability, enhances service delivery, and provides measurable outcomes in public sector performance — ensuring that every initiative contributes meaningfully to national growth and transformation.

Through this new contract cycle, KENAS will continue to:
✅ Advance Kenya’s National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) by supporting credible and internationally recognized conformity assessment services.
✅ Strengthen international recognition of accredited services under mutual recognition arrangements with global bodies such as IAF and ILAC.
✅ Support industrialization, health, environment, ICT, and other key sectors through reliable accreditation frameworks that enhance competitiveness and consumer confidence.
As KENAS steps into the FY 2025/26 implementation phase, the organization remains steadfast in its commitment to quality, integrity, and excellence — reinforcing the trust that underpins Kenya’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
Commitment. Strategy. Impact.
KENAS is ready for the journey ahead — ensuring that every accredited service counts toward a stronger, more sustainable Kenya.
