KENAS insightful visit supports UGANAS in Uganda

A team from the Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS)recently extended our support to the newly established Uganda National Accreditation Service (UGANAS) during a visit to their offices in Uganda. This venture marked a significant milestone not only for Uganda but for the entire East African region.

UGANAS is now the second Accreditation Body (AB) in East Africa after KENAS. We aim to boost collaboration and capacity building for the operationalization of accreditation services in Uganda. This represents a promising step toward enhancing quality standards and practices in the region.

KENAS had an opportunity to introduce UGANAS to our accredited clients in Uganda. Together, we engaged with organizations such as Keane Engineering Technologies Limited, National Health Laboratories and Diagnostics Services, and Teclab Limited.

This exchange of knowledge proved invaluable as we gained insights into the diverse challenges faced by organizations in Uganda and the opportunities therein for UGANAS. The firsthand experiences shared by KENAS-accredited clients painted a vivid picture of the landscape they were stepping into.

As we embark on this journey to unlock excellence in Uganda's accreditation landscape, we are confident that this collaboration will lay the foundation for a future marked by heightened quality standards and a culture of excellence.
