Where Knowledge Meets Credibility: Universities Embrace Accreditation
At the Kenya National Research Festival 2025, the energy of innovation was unmistakable — and at the heart of it all stood a shared vision for credible, globally recognized research.
KENAS had the honour of hosting Prof. Romanus Odhiambo, Vice Chancellor of Meru University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Samuel Gudu, Vice Chancellor of Rongo University, at our stand. Their visit went beyond courtesy — it was a reaffirmation of a powerful idea: that quality and credibility are the foundation of impactful research.
Both Vice Chancellors expressed a clear commitment to pursue accreditation for their university laboratories — a transformative step that ensures:
✅ Credible and reliable research outcomes that inform policy and innovation.
✅ Global recognition and competitiveness for Kenyan universities.
✅ Stronger collaboration with industry and partners built on trust and validated results.
At KENAS, we believe that when universities align research with international standards, they don’t just generate knowledge — they shape nations. Accreditation becomes the bridge between the lab and the world, turning ideas into solutions that can stand anywhere.
As Kenya invests in science, technology, and innovation, KENAS remains steadfast in its mission: to empower institutions of learning with the credibility they need to lead Africa’s next frontier of discovery.
