Bringing Accreditation Closer to Business: Highlights from the World Accreditation Day Business Clinic
As part of the World Accreditation Day 2026 celebrations, KENAS hosted a Business Clinic Breakfast Meeting aimed at increasing awareness of accreditation and its benefits to businesses and industry.
The engagement brought together business representatives, industry stakeholders, conformity assessment bodies, and quality professionals for discussions on how accreditation supports compliance, market access, competitiveness, and consumer confidence.

The session provided a platform for participants to engage directly with experts and gain practical insights into conformity assessment and accreditation. Discussions explored how businesses can leverage accredited services to improve product quality, meet regulatory requirements, access new markets, and enhance customer confidence.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of accreditation in supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which form a significant part of Kenya's economy. By utilizing accredited testing, inspection, calibration, and certification services, businesses can demonstrate compliance with recognized standards and improve their competitiveness in both local and international markets.

The Business Clinic reflected KENAS' commitment to stakeholder engagement and its efforts to bring accreditation closer to industry by creating platforms for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
As businesses navigate increasingly demanding market and regulatory environments, accreditation continues to serve as a valuable tool for building trust, demonstrating competence, and supporting sustainable growth.
