Strengthening Trust Through Information Security

The Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS), through its Principal ICT Officer, Mr. Nurein Banafunzi, facilitated a virtual training session for members of the African Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC) on ISO/IEC 27001 — Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

This session aimed to strengthen capacity across Africa in safeguarding sensitive accreditation data, ensuring secure digital operations, and aligning with international best practices for protecting information assets.

By embracing ISMS, AFRAC members enhance their resilience, reliability, and credibility, ensuring that accredited services across the continent remain trustworthy and secure in an increasingly digital world.
